I struggled for 38 years in addiction with root issues of childhood sexual trauma from a relative. I will give you the short PG-13 version here, the extended version will be for my book, LOL, I have always been a lover. I just did not understand or had I ever experienced the proper forms of love. I started using drugs at 13 and by 16 had a needle in my arm. At 18 I had experienced crack cocaine and at about 48 tried meth. Meth is what really took me down because that is when I was not only self-medicating but I began a life of crime and started my prison journey. I met Jesus when I was 8 years old after my mother tried to kill herself. I always knew who He was but I did not understand the love He has for me. Fast forward, I am an LCDC-Intern in Texas. I am about to begin my bachelor in Psychology at a Christian University. I also believe we need science and Jesus to fight mental health and addiction problems.
